Wedding photography in Mid Wales
For couples who want to feel present, not produced. I photograph the hugs, nerves, belly laughs, questionable dance moves and quiet moments that make the day yours — with gentle guidance whenever it helps.
The experience
A calm presence, from the nerves to the dance floor.
I’m based in Llandrindod Wells and photograph weddings throughout Mid Wales, Powys, the Elan Valley, Shropshire and Herefordshire. My approach is mostly documentary: I watch carefully, anticipate what is about to happen and let the day breathe. For group photographs and couple portraits, I keep things efficient and relaxed so you can get back to your people.
You do not need to be comfortable in front of a camera before we start. Most of my couples tell me they feel awkward being photographed. We talk, walk and keep the focus on each other rather than on posing. The photographs become a record of how the day felt, not a performance of how a wedding should look.

You are in very good company. I keep portraits conversational and lightly directed, so there is no pressure to know what to do with your hands.
Do you take family group photographs?+
Yes. We create a concise list before the wedding and move through it efficiently, leaving you more time with your guests.
Do you travel outside Mid Wales?+
Yes. I regularly cover Powys, Shropshire and Herefordshire, and I’m happy to discuss weddings further afield.
Can we add extra coverage or an engagement session?+
Yes. Extra hours, a second photographer, engagement sessions and albums are available as optional extras.
