Wedding Photographer Wales
For the moments you planned, and all the ones you didn’t.
I’m Charlotte, the photographer behind McConnell Photography. Based in Mid Wales and available for weddings throughout Wales, I photograph the people, connections and little surprises that make a wedding yours.
You might be planning a small ceremony close to home, a countryside celebration in Powys or a wedding by the coast. Wherever you’re getting married, I’d love to hear what you have in mind.
Wedding photography packages start from £550.

The way I see your day
Documentary storytelling, with a little editorial care.
My approach to wedding photography is relaxed and unobtrusive. I capture most of the day as it happens, with time for family photographs and portraits of the two of you.
During portraits, I’ll find a suitable spot with good light and give you straightforward guidance so you feel comfortable. We’ll keep things simple and leave you plenty of time with your guests. I photograph weddings for all couples, whether you’re planning a traditional celebration or doing things your own way.

Coverage that fits your plans
Affordable wedding photography in Wales.
Choosing your photography starts with deciding which parts of the day you most want to remember. For some couples, that means the ceremony, time with family and a few photographs together. For others, it means following the celebration from getting ready through to the evening.
My wedding packages start at £550, with shorter coverage and longer wedding-day options available. See the current hours, inclusions and optional extras on my wedding packages page.
When comparing prices, look at the hours of coverage, the finished photographs you receive, travel costs and whether the photographer’s work feels right for you. If you have a budget in mind, include it in your enquiry along with your priorities.
A few words from a client
“The photos you have produced are absolutely breathtaking. I am beyond grateful.”
A little breathing space
Making room for your photographs.
Before the day, think about the people you want in your group photographs, the moments you particularly want covered and how much time you’d like to spend on portraits.
If the ceremony and reception are in different places, allow for the journey as well as a little breathing space when you arrive. For countryside or coastal portraits, a nearby spot can be easier to fit into the day than a long excursion.

Good to know
Wedding photography in Wales: your questions.
Do you travel across Wales?
Yes. I’m based in Mid Wales and welcome wedding enquiries from across the country. Send your date and venue location, and I’ll check availability and discuss travel and any accommodation requirements.
How much does your wedding photography cost?
Packages start from £550. The right option depends on how much of the day you’d like photographed. My wedding packages page lists the current coverage options; ask for a quote for your location and plans.
Can we book you for a small wedding?
Yes. I photograph intimate celebrations as well as larger wedding days. Let me know your ceremony time and the moments you’d like covered so we can discuss suitable hours.
What if we feel uncomfortable in front of the camera?
You don’t need to know how to pose. I’ll offer gentle guidance when it’s helpful. An optional engagement or pre-wedding session can give you time to get familiar with being photographed before the wedding.
What happens if it rains?
We adapt to the conditions, using indoor spaces, shelter or a break in the weather where possible. An indoor option for group photographs means the plans don’t depend entirely on a dry afternoon.
How do we enquire?
Send your wedding date, venue and a little about your plans through my contact page. If you haven’t settled every detail yet, that’s fine. We can start with what you know.
